of buildings
a child cries because he lost his souvenir
of the park
and bulimic alligators crammed in a pool of mud,
opening their mouths welcoming any kind of organic waste,
thrown at them by screaming school kids
the white plastic cup
pops in my hand

to get out of prison you have to get into a tunnel
flying balloons:
people hope they won't all end up
on the thorns
ending their flight
bursting with exhaustion
everybody is hopeful, although
some balloons won't make it
urban thorns are not only prickly,
